What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral Therapy is a light touch modality experienced while lying in comfortable clothing on a massage table.  Sheryl practices a biodynamic form of CST that combines gentle holding techniques, deep listening and therapeutic dialogue.

Craniosacral Therapy is especially effective for healing the nervous system from problems associated with physical and/or emotional trauma.  Such traumas might include a bad fall, a car accident, abuse, or any unresolved traumatic event.

This deep relaxation modality is also effective in reducing muscle tension associated with overuse or repetitive action.  This may include tension patterns  related to athletic activities, jaw allignment, vocal strain, and emotional issues.

Sheryl also specializes in using CST to treat infants and young children who have experienced trauma, but are  unable to verbally communicate their pain and fear to those who love them. Parents remain present with their children at all times, and may be guided to participate in the treatment procedures.

Craniosacral Therapy is effective for pregnant women wishing to reduce tension and prepare themselves mentally and emotionally for the birth process,  resolving birth trauma issue for mother and child, recovering from post-partum depression, reducing colic, feeding, and sleep issue, and for general wellness.

Craniosacral Therapy effectively reduces tension and supports each individual’s natural ability to return to a state of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. The safe gentle support allows individuals to process, recover, relax, and move forward with trust and confidence.
